Simola April 2007

Monthly game played at the Simola Golf Club on Sunday 15th April. The weather and the course was in fantastic condition, and a special thanks to the staff of Simola for a great day.

The greens were great, maybe a little quick for some, and well manicured fairways. We were allowed to place, but I think I placed two balls the whole round.

Our thanks to our numerous local and national sponsors for the day,and a special mention to Raymond Botha of Lynn Schroeder BMW for his fantastic prize table and Checkers for the Andrew Mentis Hamper.

We had a liitle change of "Fines Master" and our captain introduced our Pinklady Berti to get some revenge on some of her difficult customers. She was quite lenient, and was enjoyed by all attending.

A special thanks to our Pink Ladies, Berti, Helen, Sandra & June for your dedication in having to deal with us men.

Also thanks to injured Mario Jonker for his dedication as starter.

Congratulations to Martin Strode on 5 year tie award, and to Ashley Towell again. This time for your 20 year tie award.





The day was rounded off by a 50 year quest for a hole-in-one. Well done to Rob Law on this milestone.
