Seaboard 2007

It is Saturday, 11th August 2007, just before sunrise, and the first competitors of Seaboard arrive and register with our pink ladies, who have been there since 06h30.
The Border team led by Roger Weyers is getting ready to defend the trophy against Rob Jones' Western Province, Frank van Zyl's Boland, John Richards' Southern Cape and Dave Pearson's Eastern Cape.

The tournament is an annual event, and this year the trophy is contested for at the Goose Valley Golf Club in Plettenberg Bay. Other than the current captains, we were honoured to have our National Chairman, Glen Dalton, join in the tournament. It was also a pleasure to have our National Vice Captain, National Junior Vice Chairman and National Immediate Past Chairman namely Alf Duncan, Ken Walker and Ken Haldane as competitors to the event. There were also numerous ex-captains and national chairmen in the field.

This event is co-ordinated by the JVC's of the 5 clubs and hosted by Southern Cape.
Thanks to all of them.
