Boland Challenge 2007
A dozen so Boland Nomads joined 20some Pinkies at Stilbaai golf club on Sunday 23 September to fight it out for the John Mundell Trophy.
After our cold windy practice round on saturday, we were welcomed by windy, cold and rain on sunday. The Bolanders trampled all over us in the bad weather, and were very worthy winners on the day.
Our captain, John Richards hands over the trophy to Frank vsn Zyl, the captain of Boland. We will wait another year and see what happens.
In the traditional Nomads spirit, captain John Richards hands over the Southern Cape presentation to the Stilbaai club president. This new bell will hopefully ring plenty of times, and hope that more nomads will see it in their clubhouse.
